1/4 Banana

ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS:

Oily, acne prone skin types: 1 drop of Lemon Tree Essential Oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Combine the avocado and banana in a small bowl. Using a fork, mash until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
2. Optional: add 1 drop of Essential Oil ideal for your skin type and mix thoroughly.

Could you give some tips on how to apply mineral make-up. It is quite different to the make-up I usually wear and it seems to go on too heavy. I don't have a kabuki brush is this why it is too heavy?

ANSWER

To apply the mineral foundation powder you must use a Kabuki Face Brush. No other brush will distribute the product evenly, it is essential to use the right brush to get that flawless glowing finish that everyone talks about with mineral make-up. Kabuki brushes have short firm brush fibres, synthetic brush fibres are best as they do not absorb product and natural oils from the face. These short firm brush fibres enable the product to be distributed evenly in a thin 'layer' to create a flawless face that is perfectly 'buffed' to perfection!

HOW TO APPLY MINERAL MAKE-UP

Step 1. Open the jar and tap gently on the base until all of product has fallen through the sifter.

Step 2. Place the Kabuki brush head firmly against the sifter and tip it over so that the product falls onto the brush head.

Step 3. Using the lid of the jar, firmly but gently swirl the brush head until the product is evenly distributed into the brush fibres.

Step 4. Start with the cheeks or forehead and gently apply the foundation to one area of the face at a time, brushing the foundation powder on in large circular motions until it is effortlessly blended into the skin.

Step 5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 until the desired level of cover is achieved.

Remember ‘less is more’, it is best to apply the minerals in ‘layers' to achieve the desired cover.

Foundation Primer

A foundation primer is basically a moisturiser, preparing the skin for make-up is essential to achieving a flawless face that lasts all day, with minimal touch ups. Always cleanse the skin and follow with a moisturiser ideal for your skin type, for example if you have dry skin you will need to apply a good quality facial cream that provides long-lasting hydration, compared to oily acne prone skin where a balancing gel is sufficient. To re-hydrate throughout the day and for a ‘dewy’ finish, try a facial mist after applying make-up.

Touch Ups
So quick and easy! Simply take the kabuki brush and re-work the minerals in large circular motions before applying further product if required.

Eye Area
Mineral Foundation is ideal to ‘prep’ the eyelid prior to applying colour. Simply close one eye at a time and apply a small amount of the mineral foundation to the eyelid, starting from the inner corner of the eye area (directly below the brow) and work outwards and downwards continuing below the eye to cover dark under eye circles.

Blending

The HYB5 anti aging formulation is fabulous. Is it supposed to be used on its own or under moisturiser, day and/or night? Does it just depend on the type of skin I’m working with?  Really liked the old packaging for this, but understand that glass is more e.f.

Have you found any particular product to be particularly good (or bad) for rosacea? The new Rose Facial Serum looks like it might be helpful, but I have just ordered it and don’t have it as yet.
