Eyes
The eyes are the main focus of the face and we all want them to be perfectly defined and free from running eyeliner and creasing eye shadow! To keep your eye make-up in place it is essential to ‘prep’ the eyelid by placing a little Setting Powder or a neutral eye shadow over your eyelids before applying any colour. Our eyelids are actually very oily, especially if there is excess moisturiser trapped in the crease, so if you apply the colour without prepping the lid first your eye shadow will sooner or later absorb any oil left on the lid and this will result in creasing eye shadow. Prepping the eye lid greatly reduces caking and runaway make-up, it also gives the eye shadow something to help hold it in place.
Eyebrows
Eyebrows essentially frame the face and are one of the most useful make-up tricks in creating a beautiful, polished look. Most women overlook the brows or worse, they over pluck them. The ideal brow is elongated with no sharp arches, brows should not be pencil thin nor should they be left bushy and untamed! Eye brows should be shaped in a clean, natural arch that complements your facial structure, a quick visit to the beautician is ideal and then, only if you are confident, you may maintain them yourself. Using a Matte Mineral Pigment and the Fine Angled Brow Brush, it is essential to define the brows, this is vital to frame the face and eyes, always match your brow colour to the exact colour of your hair, never too dark, and leave lightening the brows to the professionals. A quick tip for unruly brow hair is to spray the brow brush with hairspray before brushing them into place, this will hold them where you want them!
Lashes
Every women should own a pair of eye lash curlers, professionals use them every single time to finish the lash and so should you. Place your lashes in the curler and gently squeeze before you start making sure that no skin is caught in the curler and that all lashes are aligned with the curler rim. Then squeeze down holding it closed for 5-10 seconds before releasing, then apply two coats of Mineral Mascara to the top and bottom lashes and finish with a lash comb and brush. You can also try heating up the curlers with a hair dryer, but make sure that you test the temperature on your wrist before going anywhere near your delicate eye lids. Heated curlers are great to use for upkeep after applying mascara, as lashes can clump once the mascara has set.
